    Built in quick layers of ink and paint, Meighan Morrison's works on paper are loose and spontaneous, following the poetry of instinct. Inky shapes combine with luminous patches and tonal washes. Striations and spatters are layered with calligraphic forms. Drawn lines couple with expressive brushstrokes, as if expressing an unknown language.

    General Public's Works on Paper collection features art created on paper using a variety of media. Drawing on the history of ink wash painting – a lineage that dates to the 7th century Tang dynasty – these meticulous prints showcase a textural meeting of paper and wet media. Each expressive brushstroke is reproduced in precise fidelity to the original, each print made with the finest archival materials.
